Northeastern University's Marine
Science Center is located in Nahant, Massachusetts on a rocky point
12 miles northeast of Boston. Facilities at the MSC include: a flow-through
sea water system, research laboratories, offices, library, darkroom,
wet lab with flowing seawater, dive locker, and an interactive micro-computing
laboratory with T1 Internet capability. The lab has small boats for
nearshore work and a 50' research vessel, the R/V
Mysis. The 9.5' tidal amplitude and undisturbed shoreline provide
a variety of intertidal and subtidal communities well suited for marine
biological investigation.
